Living life in the Americas is a great challenge. Today the world is face with a lot threats from small countries like Guyana, which are striving to gain some recognition. Guyana is located in South America and is called the land of many waters. The United States is located in North America and is called the land of many opportunities. The time I lived in Guyana gives me enough information to separate it from the United States due to political and economical reasons.

The political aspect shows Guyana as a socialist country, which still has some people afraid of the government. Freedom of speech is still a problem between the two parties, the People Progressive Party (PPP) and the People National Congress (PNC). The president is East Indian who migrated from India and still has a dislike for Negroes. On the other hand the United States is a capitalist country. Freedom of speech is a must for the American people although foreign immigrants take full advantages of it too. The two parties in the United States are the Republicans and the Democrats. The president of the United States of America is Caucasian. His father once held the presidency ten years ago, so it’s now the son’s turn.
Guyana is rich in natural resources mainly Bauxite, gold, and Diamond but the government is lacking the resources in mining. This country is classified as one of the poorest countries in South America. The dollar has dropped significantly, increasing the cost of living. One hundred and eighty ($ 180.00) Guyana dollars worth one ($1.00) US dollar, so the economy has fallen.
Although the US is lacking is Bauxite, Gold, and Diamond it has wheat, timber, and oil that helps the economy vast. The US is known as most powerful and richest nation in the world. One US dollar ($1.00) is valve at one hundred and eighty Guyana dollars.
In conclusion from the above, I preferred living in the United States of America due to the facts that it’s stable economy and the political atmosphere.
